AESTHETIC

Stand out with the bright lavender shell. The photo above displays the default way they are shipped (we have since added a custom frame and wheels). We LOVE those matching lavender wheels. This model is also available in the color "flash," which is a unique transparent shell (looks white). The model MT4 Plus is pretty much identical to the MT4 and comes in black, blue, yellow, and red.

COMFORT

This boot is so light that it feels weightless! In our experience it is pretty hard to find skates that are high performance and light in weight.

Dee has small and wide feet, which makes it difficult to find skates that don't hurt her feet after an hour or so of skating. This is why the MT4s are her go-to skates!

Also, the boot is equipped with one ratchet and velcro straps. The wide velcro strap makes it really easy to tighten the boot, so putting the skates on takes a quick minute.

The liner is super comfortable - no complaints.

PRICE POINT

While the majority of beginner skates will start around $200, there are lower quality skates around $150. PERFORMANCE

We love that this model can suit skaters of all levels. Technically the MT4s are labeled as urban and recreational skates. Dee LOVES these skates and recommends them all the time. With these skates she gets a great ride, performs tricks, and skates comfortably for hours. Also, a lot of our favorite skaters outside of the United States use skates made by maker of MT4s, so in terms of quality, you can trust you are making a well-informed purchase.

CONSIDERATIONS

HEEL BRAKES

By default, these skates do not come with a heel brake. If this will be your first pair of skates, we recommend adding a heel brake, which you can do by simply asking the owner of Knight Skate. SIZING

The default size of the wheels depend on the size of the boot. For small sizes 34 - 38, the wheels are 76 mm (smaller than the typical 80 mm). For sizes 39 and up, the wheels are 80 mm (what you typically see). Also, the company uses "jump" sizing, which can accommodates two sizes. For example, I typically wear a size 36 and according to the company's size chart, I would purchase an "extra small," which fits sizes 35-36. Not sure which size to get? Talk to the owner of Knight Skate and he can make a recommendation. Getting in touch with an experienced and knowledgable skater is a huge benefit of buying your products from a local shop.

PARTS

Almost all the parts are replaceable so you can further customize the skates and maintain them for a long time. Also, please note that the frame pictured is an "Endless" frame, which is not part of the default set up.
